Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo


Optional: Depending on your flight schedule, consider heading directly to Antsirabe. Arrival at Ivato International Airport, welcome by the team, and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Antananarivo to Antsirabe (Cycling: Antsirabe to Tritriva Lake, 18 km)


Drive approximately four hours to Antsirabe. In the afternoon, enjoy a cycling tour to Tritriva Lake, a volcanic lake with cliffs up to 20 meters high. The ride offers picturesque landscapes of rice fields, valleys, and villages. The lake itself is steeped in local legends and is surrounded by lush vegetation.

Day 3: Antsirabe to Morondava (Cycling: 10 km before Morondava)


Drive toward Morondava, stopping at Miandrivazo along the way. Begin cycling 10 km before entering Morondava, traversing a landscape dotted with baobabs, traditional villages, and expansive fields..

Day 4: Morondava to Bekopaka


Journey through the western Malagasy landscapes, crossing two ferry boats over the Tsiribihina and Manambolo rivers. Enjoy views of baobabs, mangroves, and unique flora, reflecting the region’s diverse ecosystems.

Day 5: Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park (Hiking, 5 hours)

Explore the Great Tsingy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring dramatic limestone formations formed over millions of years. The park offers spectacular viewpoints, labyrinthine caves, and swinging rope bridges. You may encounter six species of lemurs, including the Decken’s sifaka and red-fronted brown lemurs. Birds like the Madagascar Fish Eagle and reptiles such as the tiny Brookesia chameleons inhabit this extraordinary karst landscape.

Day 6: Bekopaka to Morondava (Cycling: 5 km to Baobab Alley)


Return to Morondava via the same route, with two ferry crossings. Cycle 5 km before reaching Baobab Alley, a natural monument of towering Grandidier’s baobabs. At sunset, the golden light transforms the baobabs into a magical spectacle, perfect for photography.

Day 7: Morondava to Antsirabe


Drive back to Antsirabe, stopping at Miandrivazo for a break along the journey.

Day 8: Antsirabe to Ranomafana (Cycling: 35 km before Ranomafana)


Drive to Ambositra, known for its exquisite woodcraft. Visit workshops showcasing intricate carvings from rosewood and ebony. Begin cycling 35 km before Ranomafana, passing through lush forested hills and small villages.

Day 9: Ranomafana National Park (Hiking, 4–5 hours)


Explore Ranomafana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its biodiversity. The park spans tropical rainforests and is home to the critically endangered Golden Bamboo Lemur, the Greater Bamboo Lemur, and Milne-Edwards’ Sifaka. Bird enthusiasts may spot the Pitta-like Ground Roller or Velvet Asity, among others. Trails lead through dense vegetation, waterfalls, and natural hot springs, offering a serene yet adventurous experience.

Day 10: Ranomafana to Andringitra (Cycling: Ambalavao to Andringitra, 55 km)


Stop at Ambalavao to visit the Anja Community Reserve, home to ring-tailed lemurs and impressive granite formations. Discover endemic plants and interact with local communities before cycling 55 km through striking granite landscapes and traditional villages to Andringitra.

Day 11: Andringitra National Park (Trekking, 6 hours)


Trek through Andringitra National Park, one of Madagascar’s most pristine landscapes. Ascend to the Chameleon Peak for panoramic views of the Tsaranoro Valley. The park’s biodiversity includes ring-tailed lemurs, sifakas, and over 1,000 plant species, including rare orchids and aloes. The varying altitudes create a mosaic of habitats, from dense rainforests to open grasslands.

Day 12: Andringitra to Ranohira (Cycling: 20 km + 70 km)


Begin with a 20 km cycling stretch from Andringitra to the main road, followed by 70 km of cycling from Ikelivondraka to Ranohira. The journey traverses the arid Horombe Plateau, characterized by red earth, sandstone formations, and occasional sightings of zebu herds.

Day 13: Isalo National Park (Hiking and Wildlife Exploration)

Hike in Isalo National Park, a dramatic sandstone massif carved by wind and water over millennia. Discover deep canyons, the enchanting natural swimming pools, and iconic features like the “Queen of Isalo.” The park is a haven for ring-tailed lemurs, Verreaux’s sifakas, and birds like the Benson’s Rock Thrush. Trails reveal striking contrasts of golden grasslands, dense gallery forests, and hidden oases.

Day 14: Tuléar to Antananarivo (Flight)


Fly from Tuléar to Antananarivo. If time permits, explore Tuléar’s unique spiny forests or coral reefs before departure.

Day 15: Antananarivo to Andasibe (Vakona Reserve)

Drive four hours to Andasibe, stopping at Peyrieras Reserve to see chameleons, frogs, and geckos. Visit Vakona Reserve, including Lemur Island, where you can interact with brown and bamboo lemurs. Explore enclosures featuring crocodiles, endemic birds, and the fossa, Madagascar’s top predator.

Day 16: Mantadia and Analamazaotra National Parks (Hiking, 4–6 hours)

Begin with Mantadia National Park, a lush primary rainforest with towering trees, cascading waterfalls, and thriving wildlife. Spot the Indri Indri, Madagascar’s largest lemur, as its haunting calls echo through the forest. Orchids and ferns adorn the trails, while endemic birds like the Blue Coua and Madagascar Paradise Flycatcher flit among the trees. In the afternoon, visit Analamazaotra National Park to encounter additional lemur species, including diademed sifakas and bamboo lemurs.

Day 17: Andasibe to Antananarivo

Return to Antananarivo and enjoy a free afternoon exploring the city with a guide.

Day 18: Departure from Antananarivo

Depending on your flight, visit the Queen’s Palace, the Lemur Park, or other city highlights before transfer to the airport.
