Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo (Capital of Madagascar).

Reception at the airport of Antananarivo and handing over of the documents, transfer to the Hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 - Antananarivo – Antsirabe

Departure in the morning at 7am from the capital to Antsirabe, a city located 170km south of Madagascar.
Crossed by green landscapes composed of rice fields and traditional architecture. A modern and very quiet city.
On the road visit workshop that manufactures several articles in aluminum. The materials of the foundry and the forge. Manufacture of tools and firearms craft.
Lunch and installation at the Hotel which is located in the city center.
Visit of its pretty little parks and the big market – visit of its workshops of embroiderers, precious stones, etc.

Day 3: Antsirabe - Miandrivazo

Departure in the morning for Miandrivazo, about 250 km from Antsirabe.
We leave the hotel in the morning to progress in the desert landscapes of the West of Madagascar.
We return to the village of Miandrivazo which is on the banks of the Tsiribihina River.
End of the afternoon free to visit the city and night at the hotel Princesse du tsiribihina.

Day 4: Miandrivazo - Descent by pirogue

We go down the river and enter the Bemaraha gorge, the landscape is magnificent.
Discovery of various aquatic birds and meeting with the local people of the riverside villages.
Picnic lunch. Night in a campsite along the river.

Day 5: Descent on the Tsiribihina

Breakfast and swimming in the natural pool called “Cascade”.
Continuation of the crossing-visit of small typical villages, possibility of seeing lemurs.
Picnic dinner and bivouac by the river.

Day 6: Belo sur Tsiribihina - Bekopaka

Continuation of the adventure, lunch in Belo sur Tsiribihina, and transfer to Bekopaka (Tsingy de Bemaraha Park).
Arrival late in the afternoon and installation at the hotel orchid of Bemeraha. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Bekopaka (Bemaraha National Park)

Breakfast, visit of the big Tsingy in the morning, discovery of the immensity of the rocky massifs.
Visit of animals like Lemurs and wild plants. Return to the village for lunch.
In the afternoon visit of the small Tsingy and return to the hotel. Night at the hotel and dinner.

Day 8: Bekopaka - Morondava

After breakfast, transfers by 4×4 to Belo. Lunch and continuation of the road to the Kirindy Park,
where we will see several animals especially the famous carnivorous mammal called (FOSA).
Visit the sacred Baobabs and its Baobabs in love, to finally enjoy the sunset in the Baobab Alley which is very famous worldwide.
To finally finish the day, direction to the Hotel.

Day 9: Morondava - Belo Sur Mer

Departure in the morning after breakfast from Morondava for the direction of Belo sur Mer.
Along the road we will see different landscapes but mostly a little desert in general.
We will see Baobabs. Installation at the Hotel.

Day 10: Belo sur Mer

Belo is a small town of fishermen’s origin with about 12,000 inhabitants.
Very famous for building Malagasy sailing boats called “Boutre or Botry in Malagasy” that we could visit.
It is always cool and windy except from December to March. The sea is turquoise, the sunsets are magnificent, the atmosphere quiet, relaxed.
Excursions will be chosen especially because Belo is very famous for the different activities as excursion on the neighboring island notably Nosy Andravoho,
Nosy Andriangary and Nosy Andriamitaroka which evokes the earthly paradise.

Day 11: Belo sur Mer – Manja

Manja is a small peaceful town in western Madagascar.
Located on the road between Belo-sur-Mer and Morombe,
it is possible to stop there to spend the night when traveling between these two cities.

Day 12: Manja – Andavadoaka

We will be lodged at the hotel Chez Katia or hotel Baobab.
We follow the course of this coast always west of Madagascar to observe the different landscapes and continue the coasts of the Channel of Mozambique of the very beautiful sea.
Andavadoaka is a small fishing village located on the southwest coast of Madagascar.It is located in the Morombe (district), 45 km south of the town of Morombe in the region of South West.
The village lies on the edge of a shallow lagoon protected from the open ocean by a series of fringing and submerged barrier reefs
It is the region or one also calls the region of the “VEZO” which means the people of the sea also. We can organize an excursion by traditional dugout canoe in option.

Day 13: Andavadoaka

Free day that will be always in the complete pensions.
There are several sea excursions to choose from that are not included in our service.

Day 14: Andavadoaka - Salary

Let’s call it the short break stay on the Mozambique Channel side which means the west coast of Madagascar.
Where you will have the most beautiful memories of your trip during this tour especially at the sea, beach and hotel.

Day 15: Salary - Tulear

Free morning to relax. After lunch, road to Tulear.

Day 16: Salary - Ranohira

Along the route we will see,
different small villages that will surely be different from the area that was already made because they use raw materials that depend much on the area where they live to build the huts.
Visit of the Natiaonal park of Zombitse. A dry forest in the desert.
Visit of the sapphire mining village in Ilakaka.
Installation at the hotel well located not far from the Isalo National Park.

Day 17: Ranohira (Isalo National Park)

A day reserved to make the most of the famous Isalo National Park. It is one of the richest parks in biodiversity (fauna and flora).
Isalo is a place that has so much history. Several hypotheses are advanced on the origin of the non ISALO.
– Explains that the site was named after a fight where the defeated had been stripped.
– Answer on one of the numerous legends which surrounds this zone with the foreign and not very hospitable relief.
There are about ten mammals that can be observed there. A very nice natural pool is famous in this area.
There is what is called the canyon of the Monkeys and canyon of the Rats. The cave of the Portuguese.

Day 18: Ranohira - Fianarantsoa

On the way to Fianarantsoa we stop to visit the town of Ambalavao where Antemoro paper is made from the AVOHA plant.
This paper inscribed with plants and flowers is entirely natural.
The process originates from the Antemoro Region on the southeast coast whose population is of Arab origins.
They were Ambalavao in the year 1930 (2nd world war). One can visit and buy on the spot.
Fianarantsoa, will be at the Zoma Hotel or Cotsoyannis Hotel. It is a very old city dated from the year 1830.
It concentrates historical heritages. One will be able to make pleasant strolls and which simply asks for a small effort for the old people because there is a lot of hill.
One can see “Savika or Tolon’Omby”, traditional sport for the young Betsileo to the Zebu in fights with bare hands.
It is here that we take the train to go to Manakara.

Day 19: Fianarantsoa - Manakara

Day by Train a line that was created by the French in 1926.
Connected from 18 stations through extraordinary landscapes of forests, waterfalls, villages hanging on the mountains.
It is during this trip that you will admire the beautiful landscapes, mixtures of fauna and flora, different villages of local farmers,
we will see traders at each small station where the train stops.
Manakara is located on the south east coast of Madagascar.
A colonial town with a small port. It is the terminus of the Fianarantsoa line to the East Coast.
There are beautiful beaches lined with coconut trees. Visit of the city and the walk is essential.
We can reserve a good half-day to go to Vohipeno to see the Tombaux des Rois Antemoro where there is the cultural capital of the Antemoro.
We will stay and have dinner at the Antemoro hotel or Délice hotel.

Day 20: Manakara - Ranomafana


Leave in the morning in direction of the North of the East Coast and finish towards the interior.
This coast is entirely different from the West coast especially in terms of landscapes.
During the journey we will see varieties of resources of the economy of this coast as for example, plantations of green peppers, wild peppers, coffee, many bananas, ct… See full of local markets where we can buy things to nibble, as fried chicken and which are not advised to the foreigner for the causes of hygiene.
Settling in at the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 21: Ranomafana

A day dedicated to visit the National Park of Ranomafana.

A terrestrial National Park classified as world heritage with its dense and humid evergreen forests that cover the majority of the park.

One will see many bamboo plantations, its swamp where plant and animal species such as pandanus, crayfish choose as habitat, freshwater fish, insects, butterflies, crustaceans, amphibians, birds of Madagascar whose majority are endemic, 12 species of lemurs, carnivorous and insectivorous mammals.

Ranomafana is a rainforest where profusions of rare plants are also identified as: ferns, bamboo and hundreds of orchids.

Day 22: Ranomafana - Antsirabe


Morning departure for the return in direction towards Antsirabe, will lodge on the other hand for is not to make the same hotel

Day 23: Antsirabe - Antananarivo

Direction to the Hotel of Antananarivo.
Optional activities such as visiting the Queen’s Palace and the city of Antananarivo and buying souvenirs at the local market before taking the plane.

End of the trip.
