Madagascar Motorcycle Adventure | Ride the Wild Island

Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo

• Arrival at Ivato International Airport. Welcome by our team and transfer to the hotel. General briefing about the motorcycle tour, safety rules, and assistance logistics. Bike and equipment check if needed. Free time to rest. Overnight in Antananarivo.

Day 2: Antananarivo → Andasibe (by motorcycle)

• Departure by motorcycle toward Andasibe on a scenic paved road. Ride through lush landscapes, rice fields, and traditional villages of the central highlands. The support vehicle follows the group, carrying luggage and providing technical assistance. Arrival and hotel check-in. Overnight in Andasibe.

Day 3: Andasibe National Park Visit

• Full day dedicated to exploring Andasibe-Mantadia National Park with a local guide. Walk through the rainforest to observe the famous indri-indri lemurs, chameleons, and other endemic wildlife. Optional night walk to discover nocturnal species. Overnight in Andasibe.

Day 4: Andasibe → Mantasoa (by motorcycle)

• Ride toward Lake Mantasoa on enjoyable secondary roads offering beautiful panoramas. The route alternates between smooth asphalt and quiet countryside roads. Arrival in Mantasoa, a peaceful area known for its lake and historical significance. Overnight in Mantasoa.

Day 5: Mantasoa → Ampefy (by motorcycle)

• Breakfast at the hotel.

Continue riding toward Ampefy, a volcanic region west of Antananarivo. Discover lakes, rolling hills, and volcanic landscapes. Possible visits to the Lily Waterfall and the geysers of Ampefy. Overnight in Ampefy.

Day 6: Ampefy → Antsirabe (by motorcycle)

• Departure toward Antsirabe, a well-known thermal town in the highlands. Pleasant riding conditions through agricultural areas and traditional villages. Arrival and free time to explore the town. Overnight in Antsirabe.

Day 7: Antsirabe → Ranomafana (by motorcycle)

• A long but rewarding riding day toward Ranomafana. The scenery gradually changes into dense tropical forest. Regular stops are planned, with full support from the assistance vehicle. Arrival and hotel check-in. Overnight in Ranomafana.

Day 8: Ranomafana → Sahambavy (by motorcycle)

• Ride through spectacular highland landscapes with terraced rice fields, forests, and mountain views. Arrival in Sahambavy, home to Madagascar’s only tea plantation. Overnight in Sahambavy.

Day 9: Sahambavy → Tsaranoro (by motorcycle)

• Departure toward the Tsaranoro Valley, at the foot of the Andringitra Massif. Scenic roads lead to dramatic mountain landscapes. Arrival and installation at a lodge surrounded by nature. Overnight in Tsaranoro.

Day 10: Tsaranoro Valley Exploration

• Free day in Tsaranoro. Options include hiking, cultural encounters with local communities, relaxation, or scenic walks around the valley. A perfect day to enjoy the impressive landscapes of southern Madagascar. Overnight in Tsaranoro.

Day 11: Tsaranoro → Ranohira (by motorcycle)

• Ride toward Ranohira, the gateway to Isalo National Park. The landscape becomes drier and more arid, marking the transition to southern Madagascar. Arrival and hotel check-in. Overnight in Ranohira.

Day 12: Isalo National Park Visit

• Full day exploring Isalo National Park. Hiking through canyons, natural pools, sandstone formations, and savannah landscapes. A striking contrast to the rainforest regions visited earlier. Overnight in Ranohira.

Day 13: Ranohira → Tulear → Ifaty (by motorcycle)

• Ride toward Tulear, then continue north to Ifaty along the coast. The desert scenery gradually gives way to the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Arrival at the beach resort and free time. Overnight in Ifaty.

Day 14: Ifaty

• Free day at leisure in Ifaty to relax after the motorcycle adventure. Optional activities include snorkeling, traditional outrigger canoe trips, village visits, or exploring the nearby baobab forest. Overnight in Ifaty.

Day 15: Ifaty

• Second free day in Ifaty to enjoy the beach, lagoon, or optional activities at your own pace. Overnight in Ifaty.

Day 16: Ifaty → Tulear → Antananarivo (Domestic Flight)

• Transfer to Tulear airport for the domestic flight back to Antananarivo. Arrival, welcome, and transfer to the hotel. Last-minute shopping or rest. Overnight in Antananarivo.

Day 17: Antananarivo → International Flight

• According to your flight schedule, transfer to Ivato International Airport for your international departure. End of our services.
