Departure on the road to Antsirabe in order to discover the rural areas of the central high plateaus. Halt at Ambatolampy at 70 Km from the capital: stop at a small steel smelter for aluminum products.
On arrival : visit of artisans who make miniature objects, artwork from cow (zebu) horn as well as artisans of objects made from a variety of materials such as stone.

Day of hiking at Betafo,
located at about twenty kilometers to the west of Antsirabe at 1410 m of altitude and one of the most beautiful regions of the high plateaus.
Four to six hours of hiking accompanied by a specialist guide of the region.

Breakfast and then continue to Ambositra which is the capital of the wood carving handicrafts made by the precious wood like the rosewood, ebony, palissandre wood…. Possibility to visit the workshop before lunch. Arrived in Ranomafana in the afternoon and set up at the hotel.
