Compare classic highland roads, western baobab tracks, northern landscapes and remote coastal expeditions.
The classic RN7
The RN7 links highland towns, rainforest, granite landscapes, Isalo and the southwest coast. It is a strong first journey because it combines culture, parks and varied scenery.
Western and coastal adventure
Morondava, Kirindy, Bekopaka and the Tsingy create an iconic western route. Farther south, sandy coastal tracks connect fishing villages and lagoons. These stages demand a reliable 4x4 and seasonal planning.
Northern Madagascar
The north combines Ankarana, Red Tsingy, Montagne d’Ambre and the bays near Antsiranana. Distances are substantial, so domestic flights can be combined with a regional road journey.
